I recently read a help book that promises to help improve focus, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for me! This book is a valuable resource for anyone struggling to concentrate and looking to enhance their productivity and overall effectiveness.

The strategies and techniques outlined in the book are practical and easy to implement. From simple mindfulness exercises to effective time management tips, the book offers a comprehensive approach to improving focus in various aspects of life.

One of the standout features of this help book is its relatability. The author acknowledges the challenges and distractions that we all face in our fast-paced world, making the advice feel relevant and applicable to real-life situations.

The book provides valuable insights into the science of focus and attention, explaining how our brain works and why we sometimes struggle to stay on task. Understanding the underlying mechanisms of focus has helped me approach the problem more strategically and develop sustainable habits to improve my concentration.

The writing style is engaging and easy to follow, making it a pleasure to read. I found myself eagerly absorbing the content and immediately applying the tips to my daily routines.

What sets this help book apart from others is its emphasis on individualization. It recognizes that different people have unique needs and preferences when it comes to maintaining focus. The book encourages readers to explore what works best for them personally, offering a customizable approach to improving focus.

Overall, I highly recommend this help book to anyone seeking to enhance their focus and productivity. It's a practical and well-researched guide that not only provides valuable insights but also empowers readers with actionable steps to sharpen their focus and achieve their goals. If you're ready to take control of your focus and unlock your full potential, this book is a must-read!

This was a fast, easy to read book. The 23 items he describes can be immediately applied. I tried reducing caffeine, dividing tasks into high and low energy periods, and taking walking breaks. I noticed the difference in my focus. I have worked remotely for years. Damon's advice is spot on. I only wish I had read this years ago. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking to increase their focus and attention both at work and in their personal lives.

People who say that this book is a waste of time and the tips in here are beyond the obvious are the same ones searching endlessly for a magical self help book that will give them focus without doing anything to obtain it. You need to work for it instead of mindlessly consuming information on self improvement! Of course this book will have things you may have already known but the only thing that is stopping you is YOU and lack of execution. Are you doing the work though? It's never the book itself unless, in the rare occasion, a book is title "Be more productive with these tips" and the pages are filled with how to cook the best pasta.

You have to take action and this books is short, simple, and sweet with tips and research that backs up why X tip is proven to be helpful. What more can you ask for honestly.

The book has three main sections: definition of focus (concentrated attention), controlling your environment for improved focus, and specific "tactics" to apply in improving focus. The first part defines focus, provides reasons why it is lost, lists and briefly explains obstacles to achieving it and summarizes the benefits of achieving it. The second part provides 10 (11?) suggestions for improving your environment, from lighting to clutter, with the purpose of improving your ability to concentrate and focus. The third part provides 20+ specific suggestions which you can adopt to improve focus. Each suggestion has a 2-3 page explanation.

Overall, the book is OK. It contains a lot of common sense material that can help you achieve improved attention and concentration. I summarized the book in 3 pages for quick reference. One is a mind map of the components of the focus definition, obstacles, etc., in part one. Page two is a chart of the suggested environmental improvements. Page three is a list of the "tactics" with brief descriptions.

The book also includes some references I didn't look into... presumably for further reading.

It's a good begginner's introduction to the topic. It's a quick read, even if you are summarizing it. And it provides some common sense advice. I think it's a good "bang for the buck", even if it's not Pulitzer Prize material. I would recommend it to a friend who needed a quick introduction or refresher on focus.

The book is a perfect guide to increasing and maintaining focus in a work place whether it is a corporate office or a lecture hall or your personal work desk at home or even if it is at a public place in a coffee house or dormitory... it is a fun read and short and precisely to the point.

I do a majority of my work from home and the last few weeks I have increased my workload. Scaling my business and making some extra cash being my intention. Although I have managed to scale the business I have never felt so unfocused in my life. Beginning to feel as though I had taken on too much, I come across the Fast Focus book (yes, I found this book while I was avoiding my work and scrolling through Amazon). In this case my efforts to avoid my work paid off massively. The author, Damon Zahariades goes into great detail to help you figure out what is causing you to lose focus. He then provides many techniques and tips for you to put into practise in order to overcome it. For me, this short book provided me with highly valuable information which helped me change how I use my time. Not only that but it enabled me to actually find time for myself which before, I had never done. It isn't a magical solution that no one has ever heard of. It is more like a set of practises that you can adopt to maintain focus and use your time wisely. Any self employed friends out there should definitely consider adding this book to their collection.
